The European Rugby Cup Championship will be held in Kemer, Turkey from November 11th to 18th in 2012.on the 17th of November a match is scheduled between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

For further knowledge the rugby Federation of Turkey was registered in 2011 and was accepted into FIRA-AER in July 2012.

The rugby Federation of Azerbaijan was registered in 2004 and accepted into FIRA-AER in the same year. Despite all of this, if we were to compare the level of development of rugby in our countries then it would be clear that the Turks are ahead of us and are as good as the Iranians used to be. There is both a government based and sponsor support. At the time we don’t even have a coach. Furthermore we do not have a doctor or any essential comforts in our sport life. After every loss we are highly criticized by the public, but even a single media company had the audacity to take any interest in the circumstances that the rugby team faces.

Never mind the negativity lets wish our rugby team the best of luck!

Head of Development Committee & Press Attaché

The tournament dedicated to “Flag’s day” was organized by the head management of youth and sports of the city Baku in assistance with the rugby federation of Azerbaijan, after some time I’ve finally been able to write an article about this.
